Cloey Ashworth - Interdisciplinary Artist
Bio
Cloey Ashworth is a freelance artist working in Denver, CO. She graduated with a BFA from Louisiana Tech University in May 2023.
Cloey is currently an interdisciplinary artist working predominantly with the mediums of oil paint, photography, drawing, and sculpture. Her thesis work focused on personal beliefs and her experience with familial tension. The body of work highlights both the internal and external struggles of growing up queer in the deep south. Her work is an expression of the disconnect that can happen within relationships and ultimately the disconnect within oneself. She creates vibrant, mind-bending self portraits featuring family and those closest to her. The work incorporates color and abstraction to create an environment where all of these emotions can be dissected and observed.
